Offered by Jan Cook and First Unitarian Buddhist Fellowship

When: Every Sunday Evening, 8:30-9:00pm (Virtual and Free)
The Window of Time: October 5th thru Winter Solstice December 21st

In response to a need many of us have who are devoted to working for justice, peace, and civility, this experiment has arisen:

A quiet, focused contemplative pause at the end of the week to turn inward, and feel the authentic accomplishment of the week and weekend.

~ Put down phones, to do lists, what didn’t get done lists, and your possible fatigue.
~ Get quiet as an act of resistance to the attention economy and open to the beyond human and human realms that support you.
~ Radically recognize the cultural  call of self criticism, insufficiency, reactivity and desire to go numb
~ Bring your practice**
~ Bring your devotion
~ Bring your appreciation of the power of collective intention
~ Bring your friends and colleagues who are on the journey with you

We will:
~ Pause to open to sacred space that is always there as refuge.
~ Share 20 minutes of unguided silence to connect with your personal practice
~ Dedicate the energy of your quiet practice to our collective awakening

Contact Jan Cook with questions: fubf.groups@gmail.com.

**If you are one who feels you do not have an established practice for the 20 minutes of silence, Jan is organizing simple resources and deep listening guidance circles to help you create a practice that is authentic and potent for you.

Please let her know of your interest here.

"When you let go of trying to get more of what you don’t really need, it frees up oceans of energy to make a difference with what you have. When you make a difference with what you have it expands."

“While the news often features the worst of humanity, there are a billion acts of human kindness every hour of every day! Take another breath and sense this truth.”
